A Tropical Romance

The Costa Rican adventure continued in full force since I last blogged. My sweetie joined me for the rest of the vacation in Tamarindo and we had a wonderfully romantic and fun time. I was so excited to show him all my favourite spots in town and hit the beach together.

He got some wicked shots of me jumping in the water just after a sunset. He got this in one shot!

We stayed at the beautiful beach front Diria Hotel where we had a room with a gorgeous ocean view.

There's nothing like waking up and looking out at palm trees and turquoise water right from bed!

We loved our balcony and particularly enjoyed it when we needed a shade break from the hot sun.

My sunset beach walks are much better with J by my side. It sets up perfect conditions for the most exquisite ocean sunsets. Every single day the sun shines brightly starting at 6am and sets at exactly 6pm.

The photos don't do the sunset proper justice but you get the idea.

This is one of my favourite palm tree pics that J snapped one night.

I ate more than my share of papaya during my stay in Costa Rica.

Many days I ate a whole papaya for breakfast.

The beach is looooong and sandy with patches of silty volcanic black sand (there are over 100 volcanoes in Costa Rica).

Some more water jumping pics! I did numerous toe touches but it was so hard to get on camera. This is the closest one. I sprained my toe in the process, lol. I was determined to keep jumping!
This one makes us laugh!!! I'm landing from a toe touch - we call it "dancing on water".
Star jump! Not sure how my hair managed to stay down??
Have you traveled to a tropical destination? What's your favourite place?

  3. The photos are gorgeous (and impressive), I saw them on FB! Glad you're having a good time! My favorite destination is anywhere warm near water. I'm not picky. I'm really not a fan of cold.

You know you're a yogi when a fellow yogi takes breathtakingly beautiful pics of her vacation, and one of the things you notice are her awesomely spaced yogi TOES. Heathy, how the HELL did I notice that?! :) The first jumping picture is stunning, and you look so incredibly healthy and happy! I have got to get to CR!
