    I just bought the book and I'm so excited to get started on the recipes. Raw Deserts are my favorite (I have some raw brownies in the fridge right now!) I am planning on writing a review of your book for my blog. Is it ok if I use come pictures from your website?

    Hi,<br />You have a lovely blog and are clearly a talented chef. I was wondering if you, or anyone who has already bought your e-book, can answer some questions? I do not live in North America and do not have access to many of the raw food products you have there.<br /><br />-Do many of the recipes require a dehydrator?<br />-Do all of the ice creams require an ice cream maker?<br />-Do many of them rely on expensive, or hard to find ingredients?<br />-Do they use large amounts of sweeteners and/or fats - agave, coconuts, cacao...<br /><br />Best Regards,<br />Emily in Israel

    Hi Emily, <br /><br />In answer to your questions about the book, <br /><br />- Few of the recipes call for a dehydrator, and even then, its optional: for example: a few of the cookies, and 2 granola bar recipes - but you can always roll into ball or slice into squares and eat without dehydration. <br /><br />- All of the ice cream recipes can be made without an ice cream maker. They will all work just fine using an ice cube tray - or freeze the mixture in a bowl and mix it every 20-30 mins until firm. <br /><br />-I do use ingredients such as: cacao powder, maca, lucuma, carob powder, cacao butter, raw almond butter, coconut oil, which might be considered hard to find (I order from a raw food company in Canada). Is there anywhere you can order from online that's close enough so that its not crazy on shipping costs? Are there health food stores in Israel? With some ingredients you can make substitutions. For example: use unsweetened cocoa powder (if you're willing to use cooked) in place of cacao/carob, grind nuts yourself to get nut butter.<br /><br />-Yes, overall I do use lots of agave, nuts, coconut, cacao, etc. <br /><br />Hope that helps!

    Hi there i am just starting out my quest for 100% rawdome, i'm super excited my only worry was that i wouldn't be able to satisfy my sweet tooth without adding too much damaga, and you have fixed my problem. Thankyou so much, you are a truly amazing and have such talent to be able to create such delicious healthy and totally raw decadent desserts.     rufusindigo - hi! You can get away with using a regular blender for the ice cream recipes because of the high amount of water...i do highly recommend investing in a vita mix though! :) I've had mine for 8 years and its still going strong!<br /><br />Rhonda - yes yes! It's my dream to get published with a "real" hardcopy book one day! :)

    Healthy - awesome blog!!!<br />To EMILY: I had organic vanilla beans sent to the Chabad House in Chevron - they didn't charge much at all to send this! Here is the company - they were very helpful: http://www.organic-vanilla.com/servlet/StoreFront<br /><br />I know you need a lot of other stuff, too, but at least this is a start. The rebbetzin in Chevron was so excited to get the vanilla beans! They add a lot of flavor to raw desserts. Maybe you can check with some of the websites about shipping costs for the other items but meanwhile, Heathy gave excellent ideas for making do. Hatzlacha - from Sarah in Southern California

    Mari1942- No, the lemon meringue pie recipe pics you've seen on my blog are from Sweet Gratitude book. <br /><br />Antzu - I had a lot of help getting my ebook up and running... I would recommend searching out some help... sorry, Im really not the best person to answer that. <br /><br />Melanie - the 1 cup ground oats is after grinding. <br />The cacao butter means the melted amount.     Sorry the book is only available in eBook version. The carob book, is the only one in print.
