Adventures in LA – Part 3
LA adventures continue... with a raw potluck, which was held at Puki's (a new friend introduced by Courtney) house.
It was a wonderful hot evening, surrounded by great people and delicious food. I met my online friend, Debbie Young, and her daughter Sam. Debbie is a beautiful person inside and out, and I really enjoyed connecting with her. If you're not already familiar with her 2 very different blogs, check out Debbie Does Raw, and Grass Fed Momma.
Alex and I made 3 different ice creams that afternoon - With minimal time and without an ice cream make, it was more like frosty pudding, but yummy nonetheless. Vanilla, chocolate, and rambutan/ginger flavors, with strawberries, banana, and chocolate sauce... Mmmm.
We met up with Tonya Kay one afternoon for some raw ice cream and then hit up Sunpower Natural Cafe.
It was such a fabulous time, as I'm sure you can see... a bit more still to come (I'm always so behind in posting these things).

I love this! I've read Kristen's blog and sort of gotten to know her in the raw food's online world.

I also recently saw Matt Monarch interview Tonya Kay about her recovery from medication for bipolar and how she stays in balance without medical interventions. It was really a great interview. She is so inspiring I hope to meet her also!!
