Snap, Crackle, Crunch!
I recently tried three kinds of Blue Mountain Organics' Earth Chips - and I'm in love. These are some of the very best kale chips I've ever tried (and I've sampled a lot of different ones).
If you have a salty, crunchy, chip fetish, and want a healthy raw vegan option, these are for you. While sugar has always been my thing more than salt, I've always enjoyed a good kale chip now and then so I thoroughly enjoyed savoring these goodies!
While there were large pieces/chunks of the chips in each bag, there were a lot of broken pieces, I enjoyed being able to use the "crumbs" as flavorful salad toppings - which works especially well with these chips because there are seeds on the chips.
The Earth Chips come in five flavors: Coconut Curry Kale, Cheezy Spicy Kale, Chocolate Kale, Nutty Cheezy Kale, and Cheezy Kale.
I tried three kinds:
Cheezy Kale - These are perfectly crunchy, cheezy (without the cheese!), and flavorful. The kale is bathed in a red pepper cashew, sauce. I like the addition of extra seeds on the outside which add to the crunch factor.
Spicy Cheezy Kale - While I can't handle much spice, these chips delivered just the right about of oomph, and left me wanting more. The kale is coated in a red pepper, seed, cashew, and chipotle sauce.
Chocolate Kale - Since I'm off cacao for now, I gave this bag to my mom to try. She's a chocolate lover and thoroughly enjoyed these. I teased myself by smelling them - it was like chocolate heaven. The kale is coated in a cacao, coconut, cashew mixture. Here's what she had to say about them: "A delicious snack with an unusual combo and texture. Each bite brings a burst of chocolate along with the crunch of dried kale."
If you're looking for a great snack, unique chocolate dessert, or a new kale chip, give these a try!

Wow, chocolate kale chips - who knew?? Thanks for the review, always good to have an opinion on these things!
I love kale chips and never ever thought to mix cacao with kale. awesome!
Heather, I know of these chips that can be bought thru Raw Food World too. They are really addicting! Going to buy the chocolate and coconut ones next!!
i love kale, and kale chips, and even though I usually make my own, I've bought them a few times -- I have noticed though, the ones I buy always seem really crunchy. when i make them, they are crunchy when they are first done, but the leftovers (when there are any, haha) don't stay crunchy. any tips for that?
Kate: You might try to put the kale chips in a tin. After I went over to a box in tin and now my chips are always crispy.
:)
Those sound so good. Probably pretty easy to make oneself also?

The cacao one sure sounds intriguing (tho' like you, I'm not supposed to have cacao) - that would be a different kind of dessert indeed!

thanks for sharing!
love
Ela
Oooh, those chips look SO good! I have tried making some at home before, but they are sure not perfected! It would be nice to try the real thing! Delicious sounds flavors!
I've tried these for a long time and have been addicted to it ever since. Kale chips are simply the best alternative when you're craving for sweet chocolate chip cookies.
