The Journey Part 2- Juice Fast Adventures Continue…

Moving along with the 7 day beach juice fast...
Day 3: Feeling better by the day. I love the light feeling of only consuming liquids...
I got a treat today! I requested my favourite juice: Apple/celery/ginger - Fortunately the Juice Doc granted my wish. Had it along with my intake of green juice, and other daily liquids.
It was a magnificent day, mostly spent on the beach in the sun. I collected some beautiful sea shells, and frolicked in the big ocean waves for quite some time. The water was heavenly!
Adam and I also harvested some marvelous prickly pears from his friend's yard.

No, we didn't fill that big bucket - we're going back to pick more for a marvelous dessert in a few days!

Aren't they beautiful?! Even prettier on the inside!

Day 4: Colonic day! I'm a huge fan of colonics for their deep cleansing. I was really ready and excited for this, as my bowel movements had lessened significantly during the fast. This was the first time I felt nauseous and slightly light headed during a session, but felt fine afterwards. My body is in cleansing mode, bringing it all up to the surface to be released!
Adam gave me my first ever surfing lesson - something I've always wanted to try. It was so much fun, and I'm looking forward to doing more of it!

Our treat that day was a delicious blend of: cucumber, celery, prickly pear, apple, and ginger (pictured at the top).
Day 5: This was an interesting detox day... I woke up feeling great. Enjoyed lots of water and green juice with a shot of pure prickly pear juice in it.

By mid morning we juiced some wheatgrass that Adam grew.

We drank wheatgrass shots, had a glass of green juice... then went to the beach to hula hoop, but I quickly started feeling nauseous. I ended up vomiting all the juice... and then spent the rest of the afternoon resting on the couch. Ah, gotta love detox. It was splendid!

Day 6: Feelin grrrreat! Actually, I'm not sure what we did on day 6, LOL... and I have no pics. Definitely a walk on the beach and juice drinking... and then we got our bags packed for a special weekend event which I will share in my next post.

Wow, those juices look fabulous! Just makes me want to go on a juice fast right now! Oh well, it will have to wait until my yoga week : )

Glad you're feeling great!
Beautiful pics!

http://katiechangesforkatie.blogspot.com/
Are you drinking enough water? That's what makes me feel nauseous during a fast. Although sometimes a good vomit is just what the body needs. Good luck with the rest of your detox. ^_^
