Vegan Chocolate Peanut Butter Brownies
Welcome to my newly designed blog! This is my first post in my new space and I'm so excited about it. It's much more user friendly than my old blog although that one has served its purpose over the last 7 years… wow crazy to think that I've been blogging that long. You'll find an actual recipe section with categories (it still needs some updating - I have even more recipes), a section featuring my recipe books, an "about me" section, easy-to-navigate blog posts, and if you scroll down the right hand side of the blog you'll see past archives.
Today's recipe is high-raw, vegan, gluten free, grain free, and totally scrumptious! If you want a completely raw version or have a peanut allergy, I suggest subbing raw almond butter for the peanut butter.
Vegan Chocolate Peanut Butter Brownies
Brownies
1 cup almonds
3 tablespoons coconut sugar
1/4 cup cacao powder
1/8 teaspoon Himalayan salt
3/4 cup pitted, packed dates
2/3 cup natural peanut butter
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
2 teaspoons water
Grind the almonds, coconut sugar, cacao powder, and salt into flour in a food processor. Add the dates and process until they're broken down. Add the peanut butter, vanilla, and water. Process until all ingredients are evenly combined into a dough that holds together when pressed in your hand. Press into the bottom of a plastic wrap lined 8x8" pan.
Peanut Butter Frosting
2/3 cup natural peanut butter
1/3 cup maple syrup
1/3 cup + 1 tablespoon warm water
2 tablespoons melted coconut butter
Combine all ingredients together in a food processor until smooth and creamy. Spread over the top of the brownies.
Optional: Sprinkle with peanuts before chilling the brownies in the fridge for at least 4 hours (or up to overnight).
I can never get enough chocolate so I thought some raw chocolate sauce would be great drizzled over top for pure decadence! Mmmm! Use the recipe from my Raw Chocolate Dream eBook, or Sweetly Raw Desserts book, or your own favourite chocolate sauce recipe.
And here's a malted maca smoothie bowl that I made recently. This is so tasty and energizing!

LOVE this recipe (as always), LOVE the new blog design. Perfection. I love both peanut butter and almond butter, so it'd be fun to try this recipe both ways :)
Will your January detox recipes be back some time? I so wanted to make them, even bought all the ingredients but still can't find the recipes...
Unfortunately that recipe post got lost in the transition from my old blog to this new one :(
I recently made a raw date brownie recipe but I really like yours because it has less sugar, and it has peanut butter! Mine had a lot more sugar added for the icing, so I am afraid to eat them sometimes!
